With each holistic band at 4/5 (strong performance across IRR, team, IWA, presentation, and exam slices):
AP score: 5 (often credit-eligible)
Composite (model): 80 / 100 — through-course 44 / 55, exam 36 / 45
Our AP Seminar score calculator multiplies each holistic band (0–5) by the fraction of the course it represents, following weights published on AP Central. Through-course components sum to 55 points at maximum, and the exam components sum to 45, for a 100-point composite that maps to an approximate AP score of 1–5.
IRR (10%) + Team PT (10%) + IWA (24.5%) + IMP & oral (10.5%)+ Exam short-argument work (13.5%) + Exam essay (31.5%) = 100%Each term is computed as (holistic / 5) × percentage. Official readers apply detailed rubrics; this layer is for transparent planning only.
Digital portfolio performance tasks + Bluebook end-of-course exam
AP Seminar prioritizes questioning sources, synthesizing perspectives, and defending a line of reasoning with credible evidence. The highest scores usually come from revision loops on the IWA and from exam essays that state a contestable thesis early, then support it with two distinct evidence lines.
